Bring an Author Visit to Your School
Invite award-winning children’s book author Bonnie Kay to your school, preschool, homeschool group, library, or organization for an interactive author visit designed for young readers. Bonnie offers in-person visits for Preschool/Pre-K through 2nd grade. Presentations feature her children’s books and combine storytelling, engaging slideshows, student participation, and age-appropriate discussion, with time for questions and answers with the author.
Choose a presentation featuring Count to 20 with the Silly Dinosaurs, Put the Phone Down, Mary Lou, or Kendra’s New Shoes: A Recycling Adventure with a Giving Heart. Each visit connects the featured story with meaningful learning, from counting, rhyming, and early literacy to screen time awareness, kindness, giving, and recycling.
As a special gift, participating teachers receive a complimentary downloadable and printable lesson plan for the featured book to continue the learning after Bonnie’s visit. Schools may also request complimentary book signing time following the presentations.

Bonnie Kay offers affordable, interactive author visits for Preschool/Pre-K through 2nd grade.
$100 per presentation
Presentations last approximately 45 minutes, depending on the grade level and group, and include time for student Q&A with Bonnie.
Schools may schedule one or multiple presentations during the same visit.
Included With Your Visit:
Complimentary Teacher Lesson Plan
Participating teachers receive a downloadable, printable lesson plan designed to accompany the book featured during Bonnie's presentation. Lesson plans include age-appropriate learning activities, discussion prompts, and printable student activities.
Complimentary Book Signing
Schools may request book-signing time after the presentations at no additional charge. Please request signing time when scheduling your visit so we can include it in the day's schedule.
Standard rates do not include travel expenses or special requests.
For in-person visits located more than one hour from North Olmsted, Ohio, additional travel expenses may apply. We charge mileage at the current IRS standard mileage rate.
For visits requiring air travel, we will discuss airfare and related transportation expenses in advance. Safe and clean hotel accommodations will be required when an overnight stay is necessary.
We will discuss and agree on all additional travel expenses before confirming the author visit.
Bonnie understands that budgets vary. While standard fees are listed above, she is happy to discuss options for private schools, preschools, homeschool groups, libraries, and other organizations with limited budgets.
